The Challenge
As a landmark project for the Xiong’an New Area, the construction required navigating complex environmental requirements along a 92.785km corridor. The project demanded highly durable sound insulation capable of managing the intense acoustic energy and air pressure of high-speed transit. Balancing technical noise reduction with visual transparency in specific sections was essential to minimize the “tunnel effect” for passengers while protecting surrounding areas.
Solution
To meet the rigorous standards of this national-level project, we provided a multi-material sound barrier system designed for diverse track environments:
- Metal Insert Plate Structure: Adopted as the core structural design, ensuring rapid installation and high structural integrity across both roadbed and bridge sections.
- Roadbed & Bridge Sections: Delivered and installed over 5,000 square meters of metal barriers for roadbeds and 26,000 square meters for bridge sections, providing robust broadband noise attenuation.
- Acrylic Transparent Barriers: Integrated 8,000 square meters of high-clarity acrylic plates, allowing for natural light and visibility while maintaining superior sound insulation.
Execution and Outcomes
The project was executed with a focus on large-scale logistics and precision engineering. By combining metal durability with acrylic transparency, we successfully fulfilled the acoustic requirements for one of China’s most significant railway corridors. The completed barriers provide a high-fidelity noise control solution that supports the “Green City” vision of the Xiong’an New Area, ensuring the railway operates harmoniously within its environment.
