Product Overview
Bridge wind barriers are engineered to mitigate the adverse effects of strong crosswinds on vehicles, particularly in wind-prone regions. By optimizing the aerodynamic environment across the bridge deck, these systems effectively reduce lateral wind loads acting on moving vehicles. The result is a significant improvement in driving safety, stability, and comfort during high-wind conditions, while also extending the bridge’s operational availability.
Wind barrier systems are typically installed along both sides of the bridge or within the central median. The core component, known as the wind barrier panel (or slat), is mounted between vertical support posts and functions as a horizontal load-bearing element designed to reduce crosswind impact on vehicles.
