Product Introduction

W-beam highway guardrail is a heavy double corrugated metal crash barrier. It is fabricated from hot dip galvanized steel to achieve excellent anti corrosion performance and meets AASHTO specifications. It is widely installed along highways, arterial roads, ramps and median divider sections. Multiple profile options are available including standard straight segments, curved corner sections and flared end sections, with a service life of 15 to 20 years.

Layout Reference for One Kilometer Highway Guardrail Installation

For standard W-beam highway guardrail sections, steel posts are arranged with four meters center-to-center spacing for regular road segments.

One kilometer of standard guardrail requires the following components.
250 pieces of W-beam guardrail plates, 251 steel posts, 250 spacer blocks or brackets, 250 post caps, 250 sets of M16×170 bolts, 2000 sets of M16×40 bolts, 250 sets of M16×50 bolts, 250 beam gaskets and two R160 end terminals.

For high risk reinforced sections, we apply a two-meter post spacing layout to deliver enhanced anti-crash performance to match local highway design requirements.
