Metal Louvre Noise Barrier-Changzhou to Yixing Expressway
The Changzhou to Yixing Expressway is a vital component of the regional highway network planning. This infrastructure project supports high-speed connectivity with a design speed of 120km/h, necessitating advanced acoustic protection for the surrounding environments. Covering a total length of 17.718 kilometers, the expressway serves as a key link within the provincial transportation grid.

The Challenge
As part of a newly constructed high-speed corridor, the project required the installation of robust noise mitigation systems capable of handling high-velocity traffic. The scope involved covering a specific section (K0+000–K13+050) located within the Nanxiahu Town area of Wujin District, Changzhou, requiring precise manufacturing and installation to meet strict provincial standards.
Solution
To ensure effective noise control for the expressway, a specialized composite barrier system was implemented:
- Extensive Coverage: The project called for approximately 5,000 meters of composite sound barriers to be installed along the Changzhou section.
- High-Speed Engineering: The barriers were designed to withstand the aerodynamic pressures and acoustic requirements associated with a 120km/h design speed.
- End-to-End Execution: The project involved the full production and installation of the barrier units, ensuring seamless integration with the newly built highway infrastructure.
Execution and Outcomes
The completion of the sound barrier project on the Changzhou to Yixing Expressway has successfully mitigated the acoustic impact of high-speed traffic on the Nanxiahu Town region. By delivering 5,000 meters of high-quality composite barriers, the project ensures long-term environmental protection and noise reduction for one of the province’s key transportation routes.
