Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway
As the backbone of China’s high-speed rail network, the Beijing-Shanghai HSR is the world’s longest high-speed line constructed in a single phase. This landmark project serves as a global benchmark for 350 km/h rail operations, connecting the country’s two most vital economic hubs.

The Challenge
Operating at a constant speed of 350 km/h creates immense aerodynamic pulse pressure and acoustic energy. The primary challenge was to engineer a noise mitigation system that could withstand extreme structural fatigue while ensuring the safety and comfort of high-density residential areas along the 1,318 km corridor. The project demanded materials with exceptional durability and long-term acoustic stability under high-vibration conditions.
Solution
To meet the project requirements, we delivered a high-performance noise barrier system for high-speed railway operation:
- Acoustic Barriers: Supplied over 200 km of metallic sound barriers designed for high-speed rail environments.
- Strong Structure: Reinforced panel connections resist pressure and suction caused by passing trains.
- Noise Reduction: High-density sound-absorbing materials reduce wide-frequency noise while maintaining rail efficiency.
Execution and Outcomes
The implementation was executed under strict national railway safety protocols. Our engineering team provided end-to-end technical support, ensuring that every section of the 200km supply met the required tolerances for high-speed operation. The result is a highly effective, low-maintenance noise control corridor that has successfully passed over a decade of operational testing, significantly reducing the environmental impact of this high-speed artery.
