Metal and Acrylic Noise Barrier Project-Changsha Highway
The Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Highway is often called the “Golden Artery” because of how much it helps drive high-quality economic growth in Hunan. For this project, we worked on the Lituo sunken section of the expressway in Changsha. This stretch runs from a point 300m south of the Yuhua Interchange down to 1300m south of Xiangzhang Road.

The Challenge
The Lituo section is a sunken part of the expressway with auxiliary roads running along both the east and west sides. Because this is a major transport corridor, the traffic volume is high and constant. We needed to provide a noise solution that would cover a total length of 6.3km to protect the surrounding areas from the heavy highway noise.
Solution
To address the noise on both sides of this sunken section, we focused on a practical and effective installation:
- Vertical Barrier Design: We installed vertical sound barriers along the east and west auxiliary roads. This design is a standard, reliable choice for highways, providing a tall, solid shield to block direct engine and tire noise.
- Project Scope: Our team was responsible for the manufacturing and installation of approximately 5,000 meters of these barriers.
- Reliable Execution: We made sure the installation was robust enough to handle the environment of a busy expressway, focusing on a build quality that would last for years.
Execution and Outcomes
By completing about 5,000 meters of sound barriers, we helped make this critical “Golden Artery” much quieter for the surrounding Changsha communities. The project was delivered according to the specific geographic requirements of the sunken section, ensuring that a major economic route can coexist with the local urban environment.
